For Ages Second Grade & Up
Our private studio offers piano and guitar lessons. Each 30, 45 or 60-minute lesson is complimented by a full range of musical offerings to enable each student to experience “a joyful approach to music excellence!”
Brittney Benavidez joins our studio this year, teaching piano and guitar, and assisting in Music Makers classes.
*To instill in each student a love for music & the independence to pursue it for a lifetime – either as a career or an avocation
*To insure that each student achieves musical literacy & understanding.
*To provide a balance of music & musical experiences to enable each student to develop individual musical taste.
*To aid each student in developing the ability to use time wisely, to follow directions, to concentrate, & to deal with several things simultaneously.
*To provide opportunities for sensitive listing, & to help each student learn to evaluate self & others accurately & positively.
In addition to the private lesson, each student is entitled to an optional free 15-minute workstation. Workstations are designed to further a student’s knowledge of & appreciation for music. Students can choose from a book corner, listening, keyboard, or computer station.
Music Enrichment classes, typically held the second Thursday of each month, include interesting studies of music theory, composers, music styles, musical field trips, and more!
JAMM Sessions provide students with the opportunity to experience music with other students of their age & skill level in a group setting. Each student will participate in a JAMM Session once per semester on a Thursday evening.
Students may become part of our Practice Club if they have practiced at least five days per week, and an average of at least 5 minutes per day over the minimum expected for their years of study. Practice Club participants receive a variety of prizes, from small items, to attending a special musical event together, to trophies! Recent Practice Club members and their families enjoyed a Meadowlark Music Festival concert and ice cream last July.
Recitals & Events
At least two recitals are held each year. Optional events include a Play-a-thon benefit, a service recital, & the Lincoln Music Teacher’s Association Extravaganza. Students with at least two years of private study may elect to take part in the LMTA District Festival. An end-of-year party and recognition ceremony takes place in May for all private students.
Registration/Studio Fee includes the cost of materials such as CDs & discs, computer programs, keyboards, audio & book libraries, Piano Explorer Magazine, incentive prizes, & end-of-year party.

Tuition includes thirty private lessons, eight Music Enrichment classes, two recitals & two JAMM sessions.
Tuition for piano & guitar lessons is due the first lesson in September & February. An installment plan of three installments per semester is available. Installments are due the first lesson in September, October & November, February, March & April (No payments in December, January & May!).
Private lesson portion of tuition with Mary Keelan, Director: $15 per lesson. Tuition due on or before first lesson each semester: $298 (a $5 per semester savings when paid in full), or three installments of $101.
Private lesson portion of tuition with Brittney Benavidez, Associate Instructor: $12 per lesson. Tuition due on or before first lesson each semester: $250 (a $5 per semester savings when paid in full), or three installments of $85.

Discounts
Families with more than one student enrolled receive a $10 discount per semester for each additional student after the first, which may be taken in September & February. You may use this discount & other discounts listed on our “Discounts & Specials” page for family members enrolled in Kindermusik, Musik Makers at the Keyboard, Celebration Singers & Musik 'n Muffins classes.
