Did you ever wish you had learned to play the piano? Or wish you had continued lessons? Then Musik 'n Muffins is for you!

We all know the benefits of wellness programs for seniors. There are many activities that seniors can do to promote brain function, coordination, better circulation, a stronger heart & lungs…the list goes on.  One of the best is music!  Even listening to music relaxes muscles & lowers blood pressure. Learning (or re-learning) to read music & play an instrument is not only beneficial to the mind & body, it’s also FUN!  Did you know that having fun is also an important wellness activity?

Musik 'n Muffins involves 8 weekly one-hour group classes, plus one 30-minute private lesson.

*One-on-one time is provided for each participant

*headphones are provided so that people don’t have to feel as if others are listening to them

*some time is spent away from the keyboards for drumming & other fun activities that promote rhythm accuracy, etc.

*time is allotted during each class for ensemble play

*Each group lesson will be followed by optional refreshment & fellowship time.

Materials include Piano Book and CD, music folder, use of studio technology, & coffee.

Class size is limited to 6-8 participants.  Classes are first-come first served. 

Registration fee includes materials & studio fees. The materials portion of the registration fee ($18) covers the cost of "Recreational Music Making: Piano for Fun & Fulfillment" book and CD. The studio portion of the registration fee ($12) pays for additional music & folders, studio technology, & light refreshments.

Session One registration fee: $30

Session Two registration fee: $12 (no new book)

Tuition includes eight 60-minute group lessons & one 30-minute private lesson.

Tuition due on or before first day of class: $110 (save $2) or 2 payments of $56 each (1st and 5th classes).

*All classes are held in the studio of KeelanMusik, 7961 Colby Street. Participants need to be able to walk down a flight of stairs. The stairs are wide, with a landing halfway down, & a railing.
