Vocal Training

The Celebration Singers are foremost singers.  Students will learn correct vocal techniques including breathing, posture, and intonation.  They will also have fun learning musical terms and music theory through group activities and games.  And the best part is learning a variety of fun songs that kids love.  Children sing in a group, but also get the opportunity to shine solo in the spotlight!

Dance

Yes, we sing, but we can dance too!  Come in something comfortable because we will be stretching, learning dance techniques, and of course, groovin’ to the beat!  Dances are choreographed for both boys and girls and are designed to fit the needs and experience of the individual groups.

Performing

And the icing on the cake is showmanship.  Learn how to hold your head up high and really entertain while you sing, dance, and say speaking parts throughout the show.  This program is a real confidence-booster for children because they not only learn how to do something new, but they learn how to do it well.  Then they can really take pride in their performances.  The impact this performance group will have on your child will reach well past childhood - nothing can replace the wonderful memories they will make and the joy they will feel from celebrating who they are through music and dance.

Costumes

Costumes add excitement for the children, raise the level of professionalism, and unify the group in public. We strive to keep costs down for parents. Costs vary, but average between $35.00 - $75.00 per age group. A winter and spring costume piece goes over basic black items. These stay the same for years, so even when your child outgrows them, moves up to the next age group, or leaves Celebration Singers, costumes in good condition can be resold.  Performers do not purchase a different costume per song.

Schedule/Tuition

All Celebration Singers groups meet once per week for 15 sessions.  The first 12 sessions are rehearsals, the final three are performances.  The Spring Semester will be a themed show consisting of fun Broadway, movie or other tunes.

Celebration Singers registration fee covers the cost of props, sound equipment,                                                              T-Shirts, and curriculum used (song sheets, CD’s, etc.)  Sibling discounts for                                                          registration are available—please call to determine the exact amount.  The                                                           registration fee does not cover the cost of costumes.  Costume fee will be                                                           determined based on the group your child will be in.

Classes begin Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

Registration deadline: Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

Registration fee due with registration: $35.

Tuition for Stars, Spotlights, and Sensations averages $12.35 per 60-minute class. Tuition due on or before first day of class: $184 ($5 savings when paid in full). A payment plan is available for tuition only, with 3 payments of $63 due once per month for the 1st 3 months of the semester.

Semester One total: $219
